Wear whatever you want, whenever you want. But, if you are looking to incorporate a few trends into your wardrobe for this spring and summer, here are a few things you’ll love.

I’ll be wearing variations of all of these items starting now until at least August. I’m absolutely obsessed with all of these things. 

Before you go any further, know my first suggestion is looking for any of these items second hand. Most of my wardrobe for the next few seasons will be second hand and I highly encourage you to find pre-loved items first. Check your local thrift shops or even online thrift shops like ThreadUp or Poshmark. Also, I discovered the magic that is eBay in 2023 and it’s a wonderful place to find vintage items. I never really looked there before and I’m glad I gave it a shot because I’m pretty obsessed with it.

I understand second hand shopping isn’t for everyone, so I also suggest buying things that you know will fill an empty spot in your wardrobe. Just because I suggest these things, doesn’t mean they are necessary for you and your style.

Vests

Linen, tapestry, denim, I don’t even care. I’ll be wearing all variations of vests. I think they add a funky flare to almost any outfit. They give a little bit of a 90s vibe, but also kind of a 70s feel as well and that just makes me so happy. Here are a few examples of vests I already have in my wardrobe and how I styled them:

Denim 

Denim anything isn’t really a trend, persay. But, I love the idea of denim shirts, long denim shirts, denim vests, and I recently purchased a denim jumper and I think it’s going to be perfect for spring/summer. For denin shorts, I’ve bought a few pairs of men’s jean shorts and altered them to be the correct length for me for the “eclectic grandpa” vibe which I’m absolutely obsessed with right now.

Beaded Necklaces

I think we have Taylor Swift to thank for this obsession. But I think beaded necklaces with random and quirky beads is so fun for spring/summer. It’s such a fun way to bring color to your outfit. I DIYed these myself using beads from my friendship bracelets, and old necklaces I had lying around.
